About Us

From Homeschool to Cambridge IGCSE

Our History

11 Years of Secondary Education in Cheras

principal
Born in Cheras, Kensington International School combines Cambridge IGCSE learning with practical experience, preparing students for life beyond the classroom.
Kensington International School didn’t start as a big institution — we started as a close-knit homeschool right here in Cheras. Over 11 years, that grew into a fully-fledged international school, now a registered Cambridge Exam Centre (Code MY514), offering Cambridge IGCSE from Foundation to Year 11.

We’ve kept what mattered from those early homeschool days — close attention to every student — while building the structure and resources of a proper Cambridge IGCSE school in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Vision

IGCSE-01

Vision

To redefine education by raising a generation of young adults who are not just academically qualified, but financially literate, emotionally intelligent, and completely ready for the real world.

Mission

Mission

To bridge textbook learning with practical experience through a supportive, workspace-style environment that nurtures well-being, builds practical skills, and prepares every student for the future.

The "Live Laboratory" Philosophy

Most learning happens within the four walls of a classroom. At Kensington, we believe students should have opportunities to see how their learning connects to the world around them.

Our campus is located within a commercial hub, which we treat as a “Live Laboratory” — a workspace-style environment where students can observe, experience and apply what they learn in real-world settings.

Students are encouraged to:

We don't just prepare students for examinations.
We prepare them for life.

Our educators are committed to:

Experienced Teaching
Qualified educators with relevant classroom experience and a strong understanding of student development.
Individual Attention
Taking the time to understand each student’s learning needs, strengths and areas for improvement.
Supportive Guidance
Creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas and building confidence.

Educators You Can Trust

At Kensington, we believe great education begins with educators who understand, guide and support every student. Our teaching team brings together academic knowledge, classroom experience and a genuine commitment to student development.

Every Kensington educator holds a qualification ranging from Diploma to postgraduate level, with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant teaching experience.

Our Ability Achievement Group (AAG) Programme goes a step further with a dual-educator model — one Lead Teacher and one Assistant Teacher in every classroom — providing students with specific learning needs with focused, personalised support.
